SAZERAC

Panel one: A street scene with Tea and a streetcar
I went to New Orleans last week.
Tea: Hello, Streetcar!
Streetcar: Ding, ding!

Panel 2: Tea holding bottle
Tea: And look what I got!

Panel 3: Bottle
Bottle: I'm Peychaud's Bitters! One of the key ingredients in a Sazerac Cocktail!

Panel 4: Tea against a New York skyline
Tea: Peychaud's is really hard to find in New York. In fact, it's hard to find outside of New Orleans.

Panel 5:
WHAT IS IN A SAZERAC?
Absinthe
Rye

... what does this taste like?

I'm trying to imagine it, but the absinthe is giving me horrible flashbacks to senior year in high school.

That is why you coat the glass with the absinthe and pour it out-- it just adds a very light anise flavor without overpowering the rye. It mostly tastes sweet and herbal!

That sounds pretty good!

I keep wanting to read that "Sleestak" cocktail, for some crazy reason.

THAT IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA FOR A COCKTAIL.

Oh! This comic reminds me that I meant to ask you something...

Have you ever had Bakon? Er, vodka, I mean, y'know, to clarify.

I haven't! But I don't drink vodka or novelty liquors as a rule, with the very rare exception of really interesting small batch vodkas. I have made whiskey drinks with bacon, though.

The streetcars say they miss you.

They say ding, ding, you mean!

Well, yes, but they say the ding ding that translates into appreciation at being featured in a comic!

Not sure if it's just me, but the transcript seems to end at the word 'Rye' in panel 5?
