Also, I know I do this a lot and frequently don't follow through, but this time I'm really going to try because I have been trying to get back in the habit of drawing more. I'm just going to do it differently this time.

Leave a message back and I will draw something from your userinfo interests. Most likely a fictional character or something from a book or movie.

And now for dreamtime

Last night I had a dream about a young woman named Clarice who went to a fan convention for her favorite TV show. This TV show, believe it or not, was about a 19th century fishing village in England. It was sort of like a Lost/Heroes/Twin Peaksy type show about mysterious supernatural things that happened in the 19th century fishing village.
Anyway, in keeping with the TV show's theme, a lot of the stuff at the convention was set up very 19th-century-y, for example, they had an open air market set up where you could buy your food and they had the convention taking place out of doors in tents. Also, there was a lot of cosplay going on. Clarice wasn't cosplaying, though, she was in a white tank top and black jeans.

Anyway, the convention was set up out of doors outside the hotel and she and her friends kept going to hang out in the hotel stairwell. One of the times she was in the stairwell, there was a guy leaning against the wall (in 19th century fishing village clothes), passed out, asleep.

She poked him and teasingly asked him if he'd been having a long day, and he turned around and it turned out to be the actor who played her favorite character. The guy's name was Max something. Coincidentally, his character was Declan MacAlistair, the only Scotsman in the village and so the entire town called him Mac. He was a shortish guy with foofy strawberry-blond hair and really nice muttonshop sideburns that went with his character. He was one of those supporting characters the first season whose wife and son died over the course of the plot and suddenly became a much bigger character on the show. I think that's all I remember about him.

ANYWAY, she kind of went all gushy fangirl at first and made some comments about how she didn't expect the cast to show up in costume, and then she said something to her about how she had a theory that his wife wasn't actually dead, and--

And he cut her off and was like, "I know. I read all your posts on (The fanboard that I forget the name of)."
She was like, "You read people's posts?"
And he said, "No, just yours. I really like what you have to say about Mac, and you've been predicting some stuff-- haha, some stuff that's spot-on but that I can't really tell you."

So then they got to talking about other stuff and he ended up giving her a piggyback ride around the market. And then they went to a concert at the con that night, which was a band called the Citizens, who I think must have done some music for the show, but the song they sang at the concert (that I remember) went like this:

Whoa-oh-oh, I've seen you look at other girls
The way you've never looked at me.
I think this really might be over.

Whoa-oh-oh, I've seen you look at other girls
The way you've never looked at me.
I think you really might be leaving.

I don't care if you don't love me,
I don't care if you don't want me,
I'd rather have one that's true, love.
Go out, find yourself a new love.

That's all I remember of the song. The lead singer was a really peppy punk girl with orange hair.

And then they ended up sleeping together. And then the next morning she came out of his room wearing the same clothes she'd been wearing the night before, and one of her friends got pissy with her and called her a groupie slut, and there was some namecalling, etc., but by the time she'd gotten back to her room, Max had sent her flowers. And a teddy bear. In 19th century fishing village gear.

This is the part where dream logic kicks in, but hey. It happens. So by afternoon that day, Clarice discovers she's pregnant. Yeah. Because that's completely realistic. But ignore that for a minute. So she's freaking out and she can't find Max because he's doing all these official con appearances. Finally, she finds him at dinner time and he's all cute and gushy and excited to see her and tells her that he talked about her message board posts in one of the panels he did and did she come?

And she's like, no. I didn't. And he looks all disappointed, and they're walking around the market thingy looking for food and she finally tells him that she really needs to talk to him, and he's like, well, I'm sort of sick of eating 19th century fishing village food all the time, can I take you out to dinner? So she says yes, and they go to a really nice restaurant, even though he's in 19th century costume and she's in ratty jeans. So they get their food and he's like,

"What's up?"
"I don't really know how to say this, because I know we haven't known each other that long..."
And Max looks all squirmy and says, "Is it bad or good?"
Which she clearly doesn't know how to answer. "It's pregnant."
"It is?"
"I am."
"Oh."
"And I don't want you to think that I did this on purpose because you're a big TV star or anything, but I felt like you ought to know."
"Thanks," he said, and he really obviously looked a little awestruck. "Err, what do you want to do?"
She played with her food, mashing it around with her fork for a while, and then said, "well, I don't know. I don't really like the idea of, you know, getting rid of it, but I don't know if I can take care of a baby by myself. I'm still in grad school, and--"
And he waves his hands at her and says, "Oh, that's not a problem. I'm not supposed to tell you this, but my character's getting killed off midseason. So I could be back in the States before the baby comes."
And she like, completely gasps and goes speechless, with the whole jaw-dropping thing. "They're killing off Mac?!" she exclaims.
"Shh! I told you there was something you were totally spot-on about!" he whispers across the table. "I think that's a little less important than a baby."

And that's as much as I remember, although I know they got it sorted and she was going to stay wherever she was from, I think Florida, to finish the next semester of school and he was planning to come as soon as he was done filming, and he kept reassuring her that they knew each other better than she thought because he'd been reading her message board posts for the past two years. It was kind of strange but really cute. Max was really cute.

It's really no fucking fair that you are weirder then I am. Fuck off!

NYAH! I DON'T WANT YOUR NORMAL COOTIES ANYWAY.

Want picture!

I had a great zombie movie dream last night. Well, actually it was a bad zombie movie, or so the people critiquing it thought, but it was a great dream. If you count 'great' as 'filled with improbable legions of the undead', which, clearly, I do.

YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS IS FILLED WITH IMPROBABLE LEGIONS OF THE UNDEAD.

So it was a dream about watching a movie? Awesome.

Well, I wasn't watching the movie, I was living it. But I knew it was a movie, and every once in a while it would pause while these guys critiqued my performance. Do have any idea how annoying it is to have geeks sitting around saying things like "She should have noticed someone moved the bodies. Why didn't she mark their positions on her grid?" while I am trying to fight for my life? VERY annoying. Very.

Oh my god. That's amazing.

And now that I can reply properly, I totally sympathize. I would have been like SHUT UP GUYS, TRYING TO KILL THE LEGIONS OF THE UNDEAD HERE.

Ooh! I would like a picture! Er, please, that is. =D

I am requesting a drawing just cause I really wonder what you'll pick...

Well, turnips, naturally!

You can draw for me, if you like! :)

First the meme, and now interest!pictures... this is obviously a sign that I should, y'know, fill in the interests section!

Which I shall do tomorrow, when I can actually think of any... May I request a picture anyway? I mean, if you can think of something that's obviously an interest of mine and feel like drawing it, that's okay, because it might take a year or so for me to actually think of anything respectable to put in ze leetle box, but I promise I'll try.

I want a picture please!

I somehow missed your post on this. But if you want, you can draw me something. If you can't, don't worry about it.

~CT

I missed this before because I SUCK, but if you don't get bored or sidetracked before you get to the bottom of the list...DRAW ME SOMETHING OMG. XP
