So, I have this problem

I am one of those people who is fairly talented at a number of things. Which is cool and all, but there is one thing that I suck at.

Cleaning.

Seriously, I just completely suck at it. I don't know how other people do it; I don't know how people keep things clean or figure out where to keep stuff or whatever. I never have enough places to put all the things I own to keep them off the floor. I can't get into the habit of hanging up clothes the minute I take them off, no matter how hard I try, I run out of hangers, I don't have room in my drawers, I don't have anywhere to put my yarn. I just don't get the discipline it takes to keep things clean-- or the mentality of where to put things. I feel like it's the one thing that I'm really bad at that I should know how to do better.

So, anyway, I have been trying. I've been cleaning my bathroom once a week. I have got the sink and the toilet all right, but the bathtub, I have trouble with. And that is why I bring you this survey!

Note: if you have a spouse, roommate, parent, or household helper who does these things and you know what their answers would be, answer as if you are answering for them.

The following color swatches are for the last question:

I don't have a clog. I am actually having the soap problem Job has, I think, but the problem is that I do spray the shower every day and it doesn't do anything to the crud.

I wonder if baking soda/vinegar would work for that stuff?
In the past, I've just soaked it really well with Comet spray, waited for a bit, then scrubbed it out with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a scrub brush. For really tough spots, embarrassingly, I scratched LIGHTLY with a spoon.

I use an SOS pad and that seems to work fine-- it's just that I'm concerned about how quickly it builds up. Like, it seriously looks like I haven't cleaned my bathroom in months after three or four days.

If your soap sits in a place that the shower head sprays directly on it, try to move it someplace else. Jon's soap was being sprayed by the shower head, and I could SEE where it was melting. So we got one of those suction cup soap dishes and put it WAY high and right beside the shower head. That helped a LOT.
If any water is standing in your tub, that definitely contributes, too. I'd recommend doing the science fair volcano method of cleaning the drain.

If might be collecting in spots where the surface of the tub is scratched or worn away. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix that?

If it's building up around your shower curtain, give the curtain a shake once you're done in there and then push it out of your tub. Your floor will get wet, though.

Nope, not around the shower curtain and mainly around the least-scratched part of the tub, actually. The scratched-up parts are mostly fine. I use liquid soap and it is in a bottle that can't drip, so that is definitely not the issue.

I don't have a drain problem; I just put that in the poll for completeness. Although doing the science fair volcano in my drain sounds awesome.
