But anyway, they played it up like it was this involved story, and then I got home and found out there wasn't much to it and it wasn't very promising as far as a story with conflict and stuff, so I was struggling with what to do, and I don't know why, but Arlo Guthrie's Darkest Hour somehow occurred to me as a starting point.

Some of you from Shiver might recognize my fictional version of Italy, although I switched Venice to Volterra for the purpose of this story.
I still have the song stuck in my head, but I'm sharing a hotel room with my mom so I can't actually listen to it. Boo!
